The US Department of Transportation (USDOT) and Transportation Research Board (TRB) sponsored the 9th University Transportation Center (UTC) Spotlight Conference on Connected and Automated Vehicles that was held in November 4-5, 2015, in Washington, D.C, USA. The conference focused on the emergence of connected and automated vehicle technology across all modes of transportation. The Center for Intelligent Systems Research (CISR) was represented at the workshop by Ms. Claire Silverstein and Professor Samer Hamdar who presented their work titled: “Pilot Study: Effects of the Incorporation of Wireless Communication-Enabled and Autonomous Vehicles on Traffic Congestion and Safety”.
