Ms. Emily Porter participated in the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Virginias (VAs) conference that was held in Lexington, Virginia, between the 9th of April and the 11th of April, 2015. Ms. Porter presented her CISR research work through a paper titled: “From Materials Science to Pedestrian Interactions: Modeling and Simulating Pedestrian Flow Dynamics”. The paper has received the ASCE Marr Technical Paper 3rd place award.On July the 25th, 2015, Ms. Claire Silverstein has presented her work through a poster titled: “Pilot Study: Traffic Stability with the Incorporation of Wireless Communication-Enabled and Autonomous Vehicles for Car-Following and Lane-Changing Behaviors".
